I've been debating the past few weeks if I should start a blog or not. I have always wanted to be able to easily write down my thoughts, inspirations, and treasured memories, but didn't know where to begin. My little brain has so much to document and share.
But if there's one thing you should know about me it's that I kinda... not kinda... I really stink at talking. I have a thousand things I want to say constantly running through my mind, yet I manage to leave most of it behind during conversation.
But that's the beauty of writing... you can just keep typing and typing and typing until your computer dies and you lose everything you wrote... Just kidding.
I hope that this can serve as an ongoing journal for myself and anyone who wants to read about my life. I have close friends and family all over the place, and I know how nice it is to be able to keep up with everyone. It makes the distances feel a little smaller.
Some posts might be totally pointless... like "today I saw a caterpillar and then I ate a sandwich and watched YouTube"... and some may be super deep... like my mushy love letters to my soon-to-be husband.
Whether its my thoughts during scripture study or quick updates on life, I hope that one day I will be able to look back at everything I've documented and say "yeah, I'm so glad I did this".
Who knows, maybe my kids will want to see all the fun things their mom and dad did before they were born. Or maybe not.
After thinking more about it -- and getting encouragement from my friends and fiance -- I decided to weigh the pros and cons of starting a blog.
Pros: I can finally have a journal of sorts, keep family/friends updated, share the Gospel, have an outlet for my cluttered mind, let the world know how much I love my life and family, etc.
Cons: all of my thoughts are on the internet for everyone to see.
So with that... thunder cats are go!
